Sample Maps from the GPS Plotter Application

The gps plotter allows you to upload gps track and waypoint files, and generate personalized maps. Additional coolness is supplied by having image map on mouse over events automatically generated. So move the mouse cursor over named places and see what pops up in the text box.
The first map: my working 'combined' map. This shows my waypoints and track logs from the last 8 months or so overlaid on a partial (and somewhat messed up) map of the US.

The Red lines are track logs-sort of electronic bread crumbs of places I have been, while the black lines are state boundaries. There are also spurious lines shooting off hither and yon. This is a bug in my map rendering code, but what are a few bugs between friends.

Please excuse the horrible grammer in the mouse over text. Because 'I choose poorly' in my choice of file formats, I am not yet able to use commas or quotes/apostrophes in the descriptions. This is a flaw I hope one day soon to remedy. Right now it is three AM and I really am simply trying to create a proof of concept. Okay?

This one is an attempt at drilling in on the details of the Mexico trip. Ignore the spurious claim that 'Reno' is just south of Denver....

Here is a map, missing the mouse over text, of my neighborhood. The red dots are a bicycle ride to our local great park, Ragle Park.

This is Sonoma County. The black lines are track logs, up to Sea Ranch, and then Down 101 to my Mom's house. The little dots mark the 'named features' in the county.

Wow! Self directed geographic depictions of the world we pass through on our way to our immutable date with destiny!
